Discussion: Rules for "Other Records" category

So far the "Other Records" category has been used to gather all records that didnt fit in any of the other categorys.
I would say the most serious aspect about these has been the elite area subtasks, but there is quite a bit of messed up stuff in there.
Anyways, I think getting a completely consistent ruleset in place will be difficult, since the acomplishments are so diverse.
I would go in the lines of allowing almost anything that is at least slightly different and superior in some aspect to any other record. This would include NM records, records specififc to one class (e.g. solo fow as dervish), and most other stuff.
A rare example for a record that would not be fine in my eyes is the 8man R/A record posted a while back (viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2356) since every aspect of this record was done better/faster/with less people in another record (8man and solo DoA records in the elite areas category).
Imo these records should follow the same video requirements as all other records according to the pure/standard/tas specifications as stated in the records rules general post (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2004).
Please give your thoughts.
