Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
I only meant the vote, no reason to delay that just because the record section is temporarily down.

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
Given anets recent EULA changes its clear that any kind of competitive advantage gained by third party tool is a bannable offense. The idea that doing more cheaty things is more likely to get you banned is a myth that has never had any supporting evidence (outside of botting). That's because you do...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
Because they objectively are. There is a clear cut difference between tool assistance and cheating features. The same can't be said for targeting using the minimap or using hotkeys to use a Resurrection Scroll. If you think there isn't a massive difference between using Ghost in the Box jumps and no...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
We play tool assisted but submit it as "standard" as opposed to "tool assisted" because if we used such a thing as ghost circles on the minimap our record would unquestionably be worse than a record only using the most broken time saves of auto pcons and hotkeys! Would we use cheating features once ...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
You could objectively classify the vast majority however. Each of your examples could be very clearly categorised with each of the four examples I've listed, removing the need for "moderator discretion" or a following vote. Just from a technical standpoint, if anyone had different opinions, they'd u...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
I do not believe that I'm the only reasonable person here or that there shouldn't be a vote, but I am confident that my view is the only one that doesn't result in a huge clusterfuck. This is a major contradiction. If other people's suggestions will result in huge clusterfucks, they are clearly not...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
Unfortunately there currently isn't even an option in the poll that would reflect my view. It seems the only available option for a standard tier would be to have it based on arbitrary decisions of a few people who may not even be competing in the scene for records in a few months anymore. We'd just...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback
> If the STANDARD category exists, what should be the process to allow/disallow new 3rd party tools? CHECK ALL YOU WOULD BE FINE WITH. You need to leave another option here because the only choice that isn't completely and utterly dumb is to follow a mechanism that automatically deems new features o...
