This mission is a RNG shitshow, sometimes you have to fight 6 groups before rescuing the 3rd villager, sometimes 0 (literally 0). The eye getting stuck is quite likely, which is why I preemtively kill one skeleton group. Unfortunately the eye got stuck on the final group, and my bar is really terrible to kill single target enemies, so it cost quite a bit of time.

My best run could have been a 8:10, with all optional enemy groups not spawning, but in that run a) the eye got stuck and b) a villager died to the boss or some other enemy before I could get to the bonus NPC dialog. 7 is probably possible in an ideal run, but the RNG needed for that is disgusting.
