Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

A sneak peak into anet server side programming based on the above logic: //Dialog If (DialogPrerequisite is met) { Send(Dialog) } else { Send(Dialog) AccountVioloation++ } //Skill If (Target is targetable) { UseSkill(target) } else { UseSkill(target) AccountVioloation++ } EDIT: Ok this wasn't a very...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

The only time I've played standard is when I wanted to knock off another standard record, otherwise I've played TAS even when I didn't need "cheating features", so no. Given anets recent EULA changes its clear that any kind of competitive advantage gained by third party tool is a bannable offense. T...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

Would we use cheating features once standard is abandoned? No. Well if standard gets removed, people may be forced to play with the "cheating features". You might not be forced to in Underworld records because there is little competition, but GWSCR covers a lot more than just Underworld. There are ...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

Why should GWSCR offer an official recognition of their subjective selection of TB features (or rather, a compromised selection decided by "democracy")? Although I'd personally like to see a standard category, I'm not saying GWSCR should do it. In my last post I said it would be helpful to understa...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

It should be clear at this point that any objective memory-based ruleset to differentiate between standard and TAS will only serve to close the gap between the two and make it almost pointless to have the differentiation except for a few areas. It would be helpful to understand WHY most people are r...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

Looks fair enough to me. The only thing I want to bring up is regarding the availability of videos after approval. Firstly let me preface this by stating that in MY opinion for the sake of the community, videos should be public during approval and until it is broken (if ever). While I somewhat agree...

Re: 2021 Category discussion and process to get community feedback

"I don't think a simple in-game timer should be allowed for pure - it should be completely vanilla GW. It's not like an in-game timer really makes any difference anyway." In game timer is actually an advantage imo. It can be used for pcon timing, area specific timings (doors in urgoz, quest takes in...
